Latest Bulletin

Hello Folks,

I hope you’re all doing well and you’re keeping warm from this cold weather!

It has been a fairly quiet time with Huddersfield Conservative Future since our last bulletin as we have now completed most of our targets in getting our new society group up and running.

Achievements
I thought it would be a good idea just to cap on some of the main thing’s we as a group have achieved over the last 2 months;

· We have booked a stall at the Fresher’s Fair/manned it /ordered and gave out freebies and collected a data base of those such as you who are interested in our group.

· We have kept in contact with you about updates of our society group through bulletins(such as this one).

· We have organised and had meetings under our belt.

· We have filled out lots of paperwork such as a constitution to get our group registered as a society at our University. So we can apply for funding and get support etc.

· We have elected a committee.

· We have updated our Facebook page, website and we are now on the SU webpage.

· We have responded to everyone who has been in contact with us

· We have attended a Yorkshire CF event.

· We have had our CF member writing a piece and it being printed in the SU newspaper.

· Etc

The Future
Over the coming months we hope to build on all of the above by getting more members, more committee members, more publicity around the University, to participate in more debates, to participate in political campaigns in and around Huddersfield, to have a stall at another Uni Fair, to attend more events, organise more trips etc.

Events
Some of us from Huddersfield Conservative Future will be attending a Yorkshire Conservative Future meet and greet event Next Sunday in Leeds at Bar 4 from 7.30pm. There will be free food on offer! If you like to attend the event or want further information please view the link below;

There is also an Holly & Ivy event from 7.30pm on Saturday December the 11th. This will be a great chance to meet other likeminded Conservatives and hopefully MP Jason McCartney will be there. The cost will be £15 each but that’s a bargain as it includes entrance fee, a hot buffet, mixture of deserts and lot’s of alcohol and soft drinks with all money being raised going to the local party and there will be a raffle as well. It will be pay on the day and afterwards the intention is for HCF to go round the bars and clubs in Huddersfield! We can sort out transport as well! So if you’re interested in this event please do get in with us.
